We are not the same is a project in which looks at the identity of four young black male in which are judged the same by society based upon the colour of their skin and what they choose to wear. This is a message to society to acknowledge that they aren’t the same and to understand the pain, hurt and discomfort they are causing by stereotyping them and misrepresenting them in the media. It is time we understand that our actions and words affect people and that racism is something that needs to stop. We Are Not The Same was created to provoke emotion to the viewer to show some compassion for what individual person represented here is feeling.
